Interested in polishing up on your BBQ skills while enjoying the golden suds of TFOB? Toronto’s Festival of Beer is proud to present our annual Beerlicious Grilling Experience on Saturday July 26th and Sunday July 27th. Come see celebrity chefs show-off their grill expertise and share tips of the trade on how to pair gourmet fare with good beer.
For those of you beer-lovers that snagged tickets early (Saturday is sold out friends!) catch Craig Harding of Campagnolo while he kicks off the BBQ demonstrations at 2:00pm on Saturday. Chef Afrim Pristine of The Cheese Boutique and The Chase’s Michael Steh will combine forces to create a grilled haloomi (cheese!) salad with Hoegaarden vinaigrette. To pair with the salad, a grilled Panini of beer washed cheese, smoked ham and delectable garnishes, how could you resist? Also, the amazing Abbey Sharp of Abbey’s Kitchen is preparing a lager marinated steak, tomato and arugula bruschetta and Christian Pritchard is going old-school by creating bangers and mash paired with refreshing Leffe Blonde. On your TFOB travels don’t miss the grilling tent guru, Chef Ted Reader as he whips up a mouth-watering seafood dish.
Sunday will feature grill master demonstrations heating up at 2:00pm. Chef Rocco of Pizzeria Libretto, Matt Basile of Fidel Gastro/Lisa Marie, Matt Dean Pettit of Rock Lobster Food Co. are to showcase their BBQing abilities. Ted Reader and Christian Pritchard will make an encore appearance for more impressive grilling.
All beer pairings have been carefully selected by founder of the Prud’homme Beer Certification, Roger Mittag, a specialist in the food and beer pairing craft. The grill is hot and the beer is cold so be sure to drop by the Beerlicious tent at Toronto’s Festival of Beer!
There are still tickets available for Friday and Sunday HERE. Get em while they last!
